What types of products does your flower shop carry, besides flowers?
We carry many brand name products and gift ideas in our flower shop. We have a spiritual line of items, such as statues of angels, the blessed mother and crosses that can be purchased as a gift or a designer could work the item into a flower or plant arrangement. We also carry a line of hand-tuned wind chimes by J.W. Standard, which make excellent gifts. If you have someone who is a fan of Thomas Kincaid, we carry stepping-stones with Kincaid paintings on them, as well as stepping-stones with other shapes and designs. We have licensed team mugs including the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Lions, The University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Harley Davidson, and John Deer. If you want to add something sweet with your flower or plant arrangement, we carry a selection of Traun’s Chocolates. Traun’s Chocolates is a Michigan based candy company, and has made delicious treats since 1929.
What is grown in the greenhouses?
Our greenhouses operate year around producing plants and fresh cut flowers. During the spring, the greenhouses are packed with hanging baskets, bedding plants and perennials, everything necessary to help you make your yard beautiful for summer. For the fall we grow hardy mums, in many different colors. In the winter, when it is drab and dreary outside, our greenhouses have poinsettias around Christmas. The greenhouses do not only produce many beautiful plants, but fresh cut flowers as well. We are one of the last few greenhouses still growing their own roses. We also grow lilies, iris, snapdragons and much, much more. The fresh cut flowers grown in the greenhouses are used in the flower arrangements created in our flower shop.
